The Alō Farms Foundation mission is to Create Resilient Communities through the provision of fresh food and support through education to areas of food and nutrition insecurity.
How we are accomplishing this:
1. Providing fresh food in support of our local community. We are providing a portion of the "first and best" of what is grown at the farm and supply it to those in need.
2. Hosting Wellness Workshops covering topics of Cancer, Mental Health, Gut Microbiome, Wellness & Creativity, Nutrition, WIC programs, Chronic Disease, Etc.
3. Creating connections around the Table by serving fresh farm dinners to those facing food insecurity.
At Alō Farms we have been committed to serving the needs of our community since we opened our doors. We have held nutrition workshops, cancer workshops, culinary programs, WIC programs, STEM & internship programs, gut health & microbiome research, and donated over $500,000 worth of fresh produce to those facing food insecurity. The need for nutritious food and education has continued to grow so much so we decided to launch our Foundation to meet the need.
Locally we are partnering with non-profit organizations such as Midwest Food Bank, veterans’ organizations like Beyond Performance, Fayette County Schools and their Social Service team, Healing Bridge Clinic, Real Life Center, church outreaches and more.
